What AnteUps is
AnteUps is a head-to-head sports prediction and competition game. You challenge a friend, pick a stat (points, rebounds, assists, threes, and more), draft a roster of real players from the day’s real games, and the official box scores decide who wins. It’s a game of sports knowledge and prediction — you versus them, for bragging rights.
Free to play, always
Playing AnteUps costs nothing. You never deposit money, you never wager real money on a contest, and you can’t win money or prizes. The reward for winning is the win itself: bragging rights, a better record, and the occasional cosmetic flex.
What Fetti is
The only currency in AnteUps is Fetti, a virtual, in-app currency. Fetti is used purely to unlock cosmetic items — jerseys, collectible figures, and similar flair. Fetti has no real-world monetary value and cannot be cashed out, withdrawn, sold, or exchanged for money, prizes, or anything of value. It exists only to make the game more fun.
Why it’s not gambling
Gambling requires staking something of value on an outcome for the chance to win something of value. AnteUps has neither: you stake nothing real and can win nothing real. Outcomes are driven by real player performance and your own draft decisions — skill and knowledge, not chance — and the only thing on the line is pride.
